Nothing like Trying some Classic Techinques

I remembered using these back when I was Animating in Flash. Nothing much but I like how old Anime had special effects or at least visual design like this...

It took a little bit but I have an idea of how to make the bubbles and maybe place them. The sparkles I left out since there's Nothing romantic about the scene although this is is a Shojo Techinque...

Revue Reviews: Nicky Larson

or "Nicky Larson et le parfum de Cupidon" (2018)

Yeah the Steaming Media Scene hasn't Been Kind to me but I bring you More of what Most people don't even care about. We got a Manga/Anime Adaption on our hands and it's City Hunter. Yes the Classic 1985 Street Smart Hero made it to the French Silver Screen with a Slight facelift. The Usual was done, changed the setting , names and maybe a little logic but the spirit is all here.

This Movie has our man Nicky Larson (Ryo Saeba) and Laura Marconi (Kaori Makimura) track down a dangerous Love perfume that could threaten the World.

...And also Nicky needs to shake off a lot of Gay thoughts.

Everything is here the humor, the action and the adventure from the popular manga is all in this French goofball comedy. Even Mammouth (Umibozu) even shows up. There's other surprises in this movie, even a First person action sequence. My main problem is that it played one too many cards in their near perfect adaption (of an adaption) and the pacing is all over the place. They crammed the Manga's ongoing plot in with the overall story and that wouldn't be a problem if they didn't have the movie's plot to break it up.

Maybe we can't have the perfect movie sometimes.

So after all that, should you watch Nicky Larson (2018)? You bet your Ass you should!
