Revue Reviews on delay! Shin Megami Tensei 2 Progress

Well after a long bout of being in the Law path (probably the most one-dimensional routes in SMT) I moved to the neutral path! All monsters are usable, evil monsters aren't as dickish, things are looking up...

I might be lost...

And coming soon...

Snake Lady

Talent Show

As you can see I changed the order because well look at the above pic. After a joke episode you'd think I at least show the main character in normal clothes. Well, back to work.

Revue Reviews on delay! Shin Megami Tensei 2 and If...

Sorry to say but these games are very difficult. I completed probably a quarter of SMT2 and about even less of SMT If (you play a RPG in Japanese and expect to get far). I'm using the Aeon Genesis patch for SMT2 so I have no problems but it's mostly trial and error with SMT If.

Lot's of trail and error...
Having knowledge of the controls and previous games helps. These are the true tests of gamers, best any one earns you your balls. It's easier to explain SMT 2, on the final days of the tournament our protagonist Hawk readies himself to take on his last opponent. During a training run he runs into Steven Hawking...

I'm not kidding
Who gives you the Demon Summoning Program, he says that the demons will swarm the cities and he believe that as many people as possible should have this program. Using this Hawk defeats his final opponent and becomes the Champion of the Center. Hawk soon learns of his true identity and his mission to battle demons and restore order or die trying.

You and what army?!
These are the SNES games we missed out on games that pushed the limits of cheap random battles and innovative gameplay. Shin Megami Tensei needs no introduction, the world is both your enemy and comrade, choices actually matter.

Does anyone know where's the bathroom?
Further info would take more time so watch out for demons!

Now how did that get there?

Revue Reviews: Romancing Saga 2

This a hard game to talk about, it's series underrated, it's Gameplay superb, very few can call themselves gamers if the hadn't even finish games like this. 5th game is the Saga series and second of the Super Famicom Romancing Saga Trilogy comes a tale that transcends generations.

Ittttttt's show time!
The story is about a world under siege by a force of malevolent beings that were once heroes. After a few starling events, the emperor of the Avalon Kingdom is tasked with unifying the nations and defeating their former saviors once and for all.

Will you just LEAVE ME ALONE!?!
You travel around aiding various nations with their problems, in some cases it involves one of the Heroes. After saving them the become allies and join you ranks. Pirates, thieves, shepherds and others offer to do battle with you in this epic.

Translation: It's good to be queen.

It's a shame that it still doesn't have a completed patch. I didn't come states side so a 60-70% patch is all that gamers can get. More people would like to get into tussles like these:

Don't look at the camera!

Revue Reviews: Battle Tycoon: Flash Hiders

On my quest to play every Fighting game created, we take a look at a lost gem for the Super Famicom, Battle Tycoon: Flash Hiders.

Robocop is that you?

Battle Tycoon: Flash Hiders is the sequel to a NEC PC Engine-CD game Flash Hiders. Take all of the cool things in Street fighter and Fatal Fury and put it in the future.

A whole Three modes!

There are three types of Characters, were-people, robots and magicians. While all characters are sort of the same, magicians tend to have fireballs, were-people have physical attacks and the robots have guns.

I'm the robot!

I just have no idea why this wasn't brought to the US, this game is on par with Street Fighter... was it because it had fights that looked like this?

Revue Reviews (Get it!): Super Famicom Wars

For a while I have been playing many RPG's in the hope of finding one that isn't as stupid a Final Fantasy (10 and up), boring as Dragon Quest(any one after 4) or as time consuming as Disgaea (Any). So while stumbling around the Japan only section of games I found a game that lets you play as Joseph Stalin.

It seems more like a Cold War analogy if the programmers never took history, this game features 4 armies. Red Star (America), Blue Moon (Russia), Green Earth (Nazi- I mean Germany) and Yellow Comet (Japan) as they wage war for no reason.

I don't remember Japan and Germany going to war.

While this particular game never made it to North America or anywhere outside of Japan we did get Advanced Wars.
USA! USA! USA!

But seriously this is somewhat better at how wars kinda go down I mean how many times did the US army get swatted by a tidal wave? And now I leave you with this...
I think this is how the cold war ended
